We are currently trying to set up one of Scotland’s first blood bike services. We will be under the umbrella of NABB (Nationwide Association of blood bikes). This organisation was set up in about 2010/11 to advise member groups on various pieces of information that may be required. The blood bike service has been operating in England since 1968 and successfully deliver all types of product between hospitals, not just blood. NABB and its member groups are also equipped to safely deliver Breast milk from area to area.
